Allied Universal in Portsmouth, VA is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) to monitor and protect a government waterfront site, perform patrols, enforce access-control, and deliver professional customer service.

• Ability to conduct regular patrols and enforce access policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and vehicle operators by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities and perimeter locations.
• Monitor and document access activity, visitor and contractor entry, vehicle traffic, and unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and assist with emergency procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate with leadership and responding agencies when needed.
