Job summary

Allied Universal is accepting applications for a Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Deterrence in Norfolk, VA. You will monitor and deter incidents, provide exceptional customer service, and enforce site procedures while maintaining a visible security presence.

Pay rate is $20.50 per hour with flexible DayTime shifts. The role requires an armed guard card/licence, 21+ age, high school diploma, and successful background and drug screening as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Assist with visitor and contractor entry processes as required by site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, access points, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and assist with visitor and contractor entry processes.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, inspections, and other security-related observations.
