Allied Universal seeks a part-time Armed Security Officer to deter crime and ensure safety at client sites in Norfolk, VA. Qualifications

• Armed security operations experience or certification preferred.
• Basic report writing and documentation skills required.
• Familiar with access control systems and badge management.
• Proven ability to respond to alarms and incidents promptly.
• Strong communication and customer service in security settings.
• Clean background and ability to pass drug screening.
• Valid state-issued armed security guard license where required.
• Valid firearm permit and qualification (state-specific).
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Completion of state-mandated security training courses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular armed foot and vehicle patrols to deter crime and unsafe activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and access control systems.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
• Document events through clear incident and daily activity reports.
• Enforce client policies and site-specific post orders.
• Observe and report safety and security hazards to supervisors.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, and employees.
• Follow firearm safety, use-of-force, and de-escalation protocols.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.
• Participate in ongoing security and firearms training.
