Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, and prior healthcare security experience is favorable. Expect evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas of the healthcare facility on foot to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and restricted zones.
• Verify identification and visitor credentials to control access.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents including medical events.
• De‑escalate conflicts with calm, professional communication.
• Write clear incident and daily activity reports.
• Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and inquiries.
• Enforce facility policies in a respectful manner.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when needed.
• Monitor CCTV and security equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas of the healthcare facility on foot to ensure safety and security
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive/restricted areas
• Control access by verifying identification and visitor credentials
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, including disturbances or medical emergencies
• De‑escalate conflicts using calm and professional communication
• Write clear and detailed incident and daily activity reports
• Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general inquiries
• Enforce facility policies and procedures in a respectful and professional manner
• Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
• Monitor CCTV systems and other security equipment
