Job summary

NeighborHealth Corporation is seeking a full-time Public Safety professional to patrol a healthcare campus and protect patients, staff, and visitors. You will monitor entrances, control access, respond to emergencies, and document daily activities with clear incident reports.

Required are a high school diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid certification, plus strong communication skills and the ability to work in a healthcare setting. E-Verify and a clean background check are part of employment.

Qualifications

  • Healthcare security experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and professional in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills for report writing and monitoring systems.
  • Clean background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned areas of the healthcare facility on foot to ensure safety and security.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive/restricted areas.
  • Control access by verifying identification and visitor credentials.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents.
  • De-escalate conflicts using calm and professional communication.
  • Write clear and detailed incident and daily activity reports.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general inquiries.
  • Enforce facility policies and procedures in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and other security equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol assigned areas of the healthcare facility on foot to ensure safety and security
  • Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive/restricted areas

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
