Job summary

NeighborHealth in Boston is hiring a Clinical Resource Nurse to support nursing staff, education, and quality initiatives in the South End department.

The role requires an MA RN license with ambulatory care experience and management background. You will participate in chart reviews, collaborate with the RN Manager, and contribute to transitions of care while rotating evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years licensed nursing practice experience in an ambulatory care practice setting.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant management experience.
  • English/Spanish bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct patient care and patient education to patients ages 18 to greater than 100 years in our South End Dept.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Coordinate orientation of new nurses to the department.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager developing/advancing medical assistant practice.
  • Conduct weekly chart reviews with new nurses for their first 3 months of employment.
  • Provide clinical input to the RN Manager to complete 3 month review of new RNs, development of goals, and annual performance appraisal.
  • Support nursing implementation and maintenance of transitions of care.
  • Schedule will include evening/weekend/holiday rotation.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Resource Nurse is a professional nurse who serves in a collaborative role with the department nursing staff to provide continuing education and support quality improvement and practice initiatives.

Essential Duties:
  • Perform direct patient care and patient education to patients ages 18 to greater than 100 years in our South End Dept

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem solving capabilities also required

Compensation: starting at $44/hr up to $64/hr based on relevant experience
