Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Vocational/Technical Degree is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire.
• RSFH licensure requirements (armed - TASER) within 6 months of hire and TASER Training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Protects patients, visitors and employees by providing escorts, patrolling grounds, and mitigating environment of care safety hazards.
• Deters criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property including parking lots and decks.
• Enforces policies such as parking, visitation, drug enforcement, and tobacco free/smoking policy.
• Monitors hospital activity on CCTV to detect escalating situations requiring intervention.
• Intervenes in patient, visitor and staff confrontations as appropriate.
• Documents duties performed including daily activity logs and incident reports.
