Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Public Safety Officer to patrol hospital facilities, respond to safety incidents, and assist patients, staff, and visitors. The role involves escorting individuals, directing traffic around hospital grounds, and coordinating with police when needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, CPR and FOID within specified timelines, and a valid driver’s license. CPI and IA HSS certifications are desirable for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a customer-focused service-based organization preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days of start date; valid FOID within 90 days; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas of facilities and grounds on foot or in vehicle.
• Report incidents or potential property loss and involve police if needed.
• Respond to service calls promptly and professionally; assist with escorts when needed.
• Direct vehicle traffic to prevent congestion and ensure loading docks are clear.
• Restrain unruly individuals when necessary and coordinate with authorities for removal.
