Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an unarmed security officer to provide safety and support across multiple hospital locations, including Swedish, Evanston, Glenbrook, and Northwest Community hospitals in Illinois. You will patrol facilities, respond to incidents, and assist patients and visitors with directions and escort services.

The role involves handling crowd control, parking enforcement, and coordinating with police when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a customer-focused service-based organization preferred.
• Knowledge of security procedures beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas of facilities and grounds on foot or in motorized vehicle.
• Reports incidents or potential loss and involves police if necessary.
• Responds to service calls in a timely, safe, professional manner.
• Welcomes customers and provides directions to patients and visitors.
• Directs vehicle traffic to prevent congestion and enforces parking rules.
• Restraints unruly individuals when necessary and coordinates with police.
