Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol Observation) in Santa Clara, CA. You will provide customer service, conduct routine patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents at a technology-focused data center.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license for driving positions, with background and drug screenings as part of employment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused data center location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and access-controlled spaces to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site procedures.
