Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Observation) in Santa Clara, CA. You will protect clients across industries, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and deliver exceptional customer service in a technology-focused data center setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and adherence to background checks, drug screening, and licensing where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Background histories considered in line with laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused data center location while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorizations, maintain entry records, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and controlled spaces to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.
