Job summary

Allied Universal in Oxon Hill, MD is seeking a full-time Security Guard to patrol and protect client sites, monitor access points, and respond calmly to incidents. You will provide courteous service to employees and visitors while adhering to site policies and procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a financial institution setting, you will maintain a visible presence, complete daily activity reports, and participate in a culture that values teamwork, integrity, and service to the community.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience
• CPR certification preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Background check will be conducted as a condition of employment
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within and around the location, and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entryways, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
