Job summary

St. David's Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform general sonography (abdominal, obstetrics, small parts), NICU exams, and vascular imaging in a high-volume environment.

The role requires ARDMS certification on hire, RVT within a year, and BLS. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate imaging, patient care, and efficient study completion at the Austin location.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an approved ultrasound technology education program.
• ARDMS certification required upon hire.
• RV T certification within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete 2D, color flow, and Spectral Doppler exams.
• Perform NICU and pelvic exams (1st trimester OB and limited post-OB exams).
• Notify physicians of positive findings prior to patient release.
• Provide preliminary measurements and interpretations.
• Conduct QC checks and report equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain vascular lab supplies and clean work area.
• Review and revise lab protocols for efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
