Job summary

St. David's Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform general sonography (abdomen, obstetrics, small parts), NICU exams, and vascular studies. Responsibilities include 2D, color flow, Doppler, TCD, and Histotripsy in a fast-paced acute care setting.

The role requires ARDMS certification at hire, RVT within a year, and BLS. Weekend nights with one weekday call, and benefits as part of the hospital system.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an approved ultrasound technology education program.
• One year of vascular and general sonographer work experience in acute care setting preferred.
• ARDMS certification required upon hire; RVT within one year.
• BLS Certification per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete 2D, color flow, spectral Doppler exams, including NICU and pelvic exams.
• Perform vascular procedures: carotid, venous, renal, TCD and arterial Doppler; Histotripsy.
• Notify physicians of positive findings prior to discharge.
• Provide preliminary measurements and interpretations of examinations.
• Conduct QC and maintain equipment and supplies for the vascular lab.
• Review and revise lab protocols to maintain efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
