Zusammenfassung

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is seeking a Vascular Technologist PRN to perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in all ultrasound areas, including Abdominal, OB, GYN, Small Parts, Prostates and Vascular Scans.

You will operate ultrasound equipment, document quality studies, and relay findings to Radiologists, ensuring accurate patient histories and proper workflow. This role requires ARDMS/RVT credentials and relevant certifications, with duties spanning neonatal to geriatric

Qualifikationen

• One year experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer.
• One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist - preferred.
• A two-year allied health education program OR CHEA/USDOE/CMA-accredited program for diagnostic medical sonography/vascular technology.
• Associates degree or higher in related technological field - preferred.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credentials.
• BLS Certification as per St. David’s Healthcare policy.
• ARRT post-primary certification in Sonography – preferred.
• Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist with the Texas Medical Board - preferred.

Aufgaben

• Identify upper/lower extremity venous anatomy and arterial anatomy.
• Perform Venous Duplex protocols for DVT or Venous Insufficiency and Carotid Duplex exams.
• Produce scans of diagnostic quality across neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Relay relevant patient information to Radiologist.
• Complete required documentation on forms, logs and in computer systems.
• Label images and identify according to protocol.
• Obtain pertinent patient history and relay to Radiologist to aid in diagnosis.
• Review written orders and verify patient identification before procedure.
• Clean exam tables and restock ultrasound supplies as needed.
• Sterilize trans-vaginal transducers per protocol.
• Complete charge processing for patient care items and exams.

Ausbildung

Two-year allied health education program or CHEA/USDOE/CMA accredited program

Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credentials

BLS Certification

ARRT post-primary certification in Sonography

Texas Medical Board certification

Associate degree or higher in related technical field
