Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform general sonography (abdominal, obstetrics, small parts), NICU and pelvic exams, and vascular imaging. You will operate ultrasound equipment, provide preliminary measurements, and communicate findings to physicians.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an approved ultrasound technology education program.
• One year of vascular and general sonographer work experience in acute care setting preferred.
• ARDMS certification required upon hire; RVT within one year of hire; BLS certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform general sonography (abdominal, obstetrics, small parts) and NICU/pelvic exams.
• Perform vascular imaging including carotid, venous, renal, TCD and arterial doppler procedures and Histotripsy.
• Provide preliminary measurements and interpretations; notify physicians of significant findings.
• Maintain QC checks and supply levels; review/revise lab protocols for efficiency.
