Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonography in a multi-location healthcare environment in Houston. You will use RIS and PACS to document and forward images for radiologist review, while following safety and clinical protocols.

Strong communication with patients and staff is essential to success. The role requires ARDMS/ARRT (S) credentials with BLS and ongoing education; experience with ultrasound systems and a patient-centered approach is

Qualifications

Must have ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification within 1 year of hire.
RDMS certification.
RT(R)(S) certification.
BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic sonography according to policies, procedures and protocols of the KSC radiology department.
Maintains equipment and supplies, and documents cleaning logs.
Uses RIS and PACS systems correctly and documents for radiologist review.
Adheres to ultrasound safety measures and sterile techniques.
Maintains current licenses/certifications and completes required continuing education.
Interacts effectively with patients, staff, and radiologists; communicates feedback to supervisors.
