Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonography and support imaging quality. You will work with RIS and PACS systems, maintain safety standards, and participate in training to keep credentials current across multiple Houston sites.

The role requires ARDMS/ARRT eligibility, RDMS and RT(R)(S) credentials, BLS, and strong communication. Join a nationally recognized team dedicated to high-quality care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; ARDMS/ARRT (S) eligibility within 1 year of hire
• RDMS credential required; RT(R)(S) credential required
• Current applicant to ARDMS/ARRT (S) and active certification within 1 year
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required
• Proficiency with computer keyboard and digital image acquisition
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonography following policy and protocol; conveys instructions clearly to patients
• Participates in routine equipment maintenance and documents in logs
• Uses RIS/PACS and documents findings for radiologist review
• Maintains ultrasound safety and sterile technique
• Attends in-service training and maintains licensure/certifications
• Communicates effectively with patients, staff and physicians across locations
