Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification/eligibility.
• RDMS certification.
• RT(R) (S) certification.
• Active ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification within 1 year of hire; BLS from AHA.
• Proficient with computer keyboard and digital image acquisition.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonography according to KSC radiology policies and protocols.
• Participates in quality control and maintenance of equipment; keeps logs and supplies.
• Documents findings in RIS for radiologist review; monitors image quality and transmission issues.
• Maintains ultrasound safety and sterile technique; adheres to safety initiatives.
• Participates in training and continuing education; maintains licenses/certifications.
• Interacts effectively with patients and staff; communicates with supervisors and radiologists.
