Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform a broad range of ultrasound examinations, including OB/GYN, vascular, abdomen and small parts, with color Doppler and guided procedures. Hours are rotating 7:00am–7:00pm, onsite at Johnston Health, with a $15,000 incentive commitment over three years.

Qualifications

• Completion of a twelve (12) month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or General Ultrasound.
• RDMS registration or eligibility and become registered within one year from date of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Completes all relevant worksheets and provides accurate impressions of exams.
• Maintains equipment and QA; ensures safe and proper procedure environment.
• Collaborates on patient flow and reviews prior studies for correlation.
• Performs ultrasound procedures and prepares findings; supports RDMS/credentialing processes.
• Provides ultrasound guidance for procedures when needed.
