Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC seeks a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist to perform a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, interpret findings, and generate accurate documentation. The role requires completion of a 12-month sonography program, RDMS certification or eligibility, and BLS certification.

No prior experience is required. Responsibilities include image management, collaboration with clinical staff, and providing ultrasound guidance for procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of a twelve (12) month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• RDMS certified or registry-eligible and must become registered within one year from date of hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures including OB/GYN, vascular, abdomen and small body parts, and guidance for procedures.
• Maintains image management and uses PACS to document findings.
• Ensures safe procedure environment and maintains equipment and supplies.
• Collaborates with staff and reviews patient information and prior studies for correlation.
• Provides ultrasound guidance for various procedures when required.
