Qualifications

RDMS registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with certification in at least one modality specific to department of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
Three (3) years of experience as an Ultrasound Tech.

Responsibilities

Assist the radiologist in performing invasive diagnostic techniques.
Evaluate any contra-indications, such as medications or insufficient patient preparation.
Perform ultrasound procedures under supervision.
Analyze sonography findings to ensure comprehensive exams.
Recognize situations requiring direct observation by the radiologist.
Image structures while obtaining Doppler signals for interpretation.
Advise radiologist and/or referring physician of results.
