Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform independent procedures.
• Must be able to use computer systems for data entry and basic MS Office.
• Strong patient care and communication skills across age groups.
• English literacy (reading/writing/speaking) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and exam appropriateness and obtain necessary clinical history prior to scanning.
• Position patients and equipment to acquire optimal images and adjust technical factors as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and privacy.
• Sterilize transducers and maintain infection control standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging and patient care continuity.
