Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasounds, verify patient information, and maintain documentation in EMR/PACS. You will educate patients, ensure safety, and adapt procedures for all ages while collaborating with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Requirements include knowledge of ultrasound physics and Doppler techniques, plus ARDMS/ARRT eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform independent procedures to radiologist standards.
• Comfort with cross-sectional and vascular anatomy and Doppler techniques.
• Proficient in data entry, EMR/PACS documentation, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams following provider orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and obtain clinical history prior to scanning.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort, privacy, and cooperation.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adapt protocols for patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment, including cleaning and safety checks.
