Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent in Ultrasound/Sonography from a two-year program or technical school.
• Successful ARDMS SPI exam prior to hire.
• ARDMS registration/certification or equivalent.
• Completion of specialty exam within 75 days from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine patients, verify identity and clinical history to correlate with the ultrasound exam.
• Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, ensure safety, report malfunctions.
• Explain examination procedures to patients and healthcare staff; obtain informed cooperation.
• Develop and modify procedure plans; optimize exam results with professional judgment.
• Record diagnostic images and provide oral summaries of preliminary findings to the radiologist.
