Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Strong background in cross sectional anatomy, physical sciences and MR physics.
• New York State License (L.R.T.).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. (MRI certified)
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Operates specialized MRI equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images.
• Performs MRI imaging procedures and prepares/operates equipment.
• Assists, positions patients, and ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Maintains protocol adherence to obtain diagnostic quality images.
• Labels images and transmits studies to PACS promptly.
• Ensures MRI room cleanliness and infection control.
• Records patient tracking information in IDX and schedules exams.
• Escalates repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor as needed.
