Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized school of Diagnostic Sonography.
• ARDMS certification.
• National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 1 year of hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Nine months of Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn with clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations.
• Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol.
• Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.
• Provides patient care while procedures are in progress.
