Job summary

Providence Valdez Medical Center is seeking a per diem Registered Sonographer to perform and evaluate sonographic examinations on-site in Valdez, Alaska. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or ARDMS-certified.
• National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 1 year of hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 9 months of Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer.
• Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations.
• Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment to determine testing protocol.
• Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in diagnosis.
