Job summary

BayCare Health System in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist-Outpt for the St Josephs South location in Riverview. The role performs diagnostic sonographic procedures and supports imaging workflows in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires BLS and RDMS credentials, and an associates degree or higher in ultrasound or technical ultrasound education. Daytime shifts from 7am to 6:30pm with every third weekend, and no on-call obligations.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• RDMS (Sonography) certification required.
• Associates or Technical Ultrasound education required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures per established standards.
• Manage RIS data and file room operations.
• Provide physician assistance and patient transport as needed.
• Support departmental workflow and clerical tasks.

Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic sonographic procedures in accordance with established clinical and safety standards. This role is responsible for all duties related to imaging patient care, including radiology information system (RIS) data management, file room operations, general clerical tasks, physician assistance, housekeeping support, patient transportation, and other related responsibilities necessary to ensure efficient and effective departmental workflow.
