Job summary

SimonMed is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to deliver high-quality abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular exams in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will ensure diagnostic-quality images, maintain clean work area, and collaborate with radiologists to impact patient diagnoses.

The role emphasizes patient empathy, independent workflow, QA participation, ongoing professional development, and opportunities for mentorship within a national network.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or applicable specialty.
• Completed accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• 1–2 years of clinical ultrasound experience (general, OB/GYN, and/or vascular).
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid state licensure where required.
• Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
• Strong image optimization and multi-specialty scanning protocol knowledge.
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient environment.
• Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff.
• Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development.
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to positive clinical culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full spectrum of ultrasound exams—abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies.
• Own the quality of every image you produce and review your work for diagnostic completeness.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam areas and support departmental operations in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
• Communicate clearly with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff to ensure patient understanding and accurate history.
• Participate in QA, continuing education, and mentorship activities.
