Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Full-time MFM Ultrasound Technologist at the MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Maryland. The role involves day shifts, with potential travel to a secondary office as needed. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is currently offered for a limited time.

The technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment, collaborating with physicians and ensuring accurate documentation and sterile technique.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years diagnostic/ultrasound experience or graduation from an accredited ultrasound program (registry eligible) with ARDMS certification within 1 year.
• OB/GYN registry and MFM experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in procedures (biopsies, amniocentesis, renal biopsies) and perform ultrasound scans with sterile technique.
• Generate images and evaluate quality for diagnostic use.
• Document patient data clearly in verbal and computerized reports; maintain exam records.
• Manage supplies and equipment; ensure proper handling and setup for procedures.

Monday - Friday, Day Shift, with ability to travel to secondary office as needed

TheUltrasound Technologistwill make an impact by performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations forsubsequentevaluation and treatment.

Primary Duties:

• Assistsphysician in such procedures as needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies. Scans patient, marks patient's body,determinesangle for puncture,assistsas necessary, andmaintainssterile technique.
• Generates computer images or film through automatic processing and evaluates quality.
• Communicates and documents patient's clinical information clearly and accurately in verbal and computerized report format. Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients.
• Secures and returns supplies such as film, linens, medicine, and patient folders.
• Selectsandoperatesequipment as directed. Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.2 years diagnostic or ultrasound experienceorgraduation from an accredited Ultrasound program (registry eligible) with certification in Diagnostic Sonography by AmericanRegistry forDiagnosticMedicalSonography (ARDMS)within 1 Year.
• OB/GYN registry and MFM experience preferred, will consider new graduates
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

This position has a hiring range of : USD $35.68 - USD $64.71 /Hr.
