Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Full-time MFM Ultrasound Technologist for our Franklin Square Medical Center. This role involves day shifts Monday–Friday with occasional travel to a secondary office for coverage. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and communicate results for medical decisions.

Ideal candidates have ARDMS certification and OB/GYN/MFM experience; BLS is required. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is currently offered for a limited time to new hires.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2 years diagnostic or ultrasound experience or graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program.
• ARDMS certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician in needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies; scans patient and maintains sterile technique.
• Generates images or film and evaluates quality.
• Documents patient data clearly in reports and maintains records.
• Secures and returns supplies such as film, linens, and folders.
• Operates equipment and selects technical factors for each patient.

MedStar Health is looking for a Full-time MFM Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at the MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center!

Monday - Friday, Day Shift, with ability to travel to secondary office as needed

Primary Duties:

• Assists physician in such procedures as needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies. Scans patient, marks patient's body, determines angle for puncture, assists as necessary, and maintains sterile technique.
• Generates computer images or film through automatic processing and evaluates quality.
• Communicates and documents patient's clinical information clearly and accurately in verbal and computerized report format. Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients.
• Secures and returns supplies such as film, linens, medicine, and patient folders.
• Selects and operates equipment as directed. Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED. 2 years diagnostic or ultrasound experience or graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program (registry eligible) with certification in Diagnostic Sonography by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within 1 Year.
• OB/GYN registry and MFM experience preferred, will consider new graduates
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

This position has a hiring range of USD $35.68 - USD $64.71 /Hr.
