Zusammenfassung

MedStar Health is seeking a Full-time MFM Ultrasound Technologist to join the team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Maryland. Schedule is Monday–Friday, day shift, with occasional travel to a secondary office as needed.

You will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment, generating images and maintaining sterile technique. ARDMS certification along with OB/GYN/MFM experience is preferred; BLS is required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years diagnostic or ultrasound experience or graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program with ARDMS certification within 1 year.
• OB/GYN registry and MFM experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Aufgaben

• Assist physician in needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies; maintain sterile technique.
• Generates computer images or film and evaluates quality.
• Communicate and document patient information clearly in reports; maintain records.
• Secure and return supplies such as film, linens, medicine, and patient folders.
• Selects and operates equipment; sets proper technical factors for each patient.

Primary Duties:

• Assistsphysician in such procedures as needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies. Scans patient, marks patient's body,determinesangle for puncture,assistsas necessary, andmaintainssterile technique.
• Generates computer images or film through automatic processing and evaluates quality.
• Communicates and documents patient's clinical information clearly and accurately in verbal and computerized report format. Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients.
• Secures and returns supplies such as film, linens, medicine, and patient folders.
• Selectsandoperatesequipment as directed. Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years diagnostic or ultrasound experienceorgraduation from an accredited Ultrasound program (registry eligible) with certification in Diagnostic Sonography by AmericanRegistry forDiagnosticMedicalSonography (ARDMS)within 1 Year.
• OB/GYN registry and MFM experience preferred, will consider new graduates
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

This position has a hiring range of : USD $35.68 - USD $64.71 /Hr.
