Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a Full-time MFM Ultrasound Technologist at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment. The role requires OB/GYN/MFM experience, BLS, and ARDMS registry eligibility within 1 year.

The position involves day shift Monday through Friday with occasional travel to a secondary office as needed, and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus for a limited time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• ARDMS registry eligible within 1 year after hire.
• OB/GYN registry and MFM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies; scan patient and maintain sterile technique.
• Generate and evaluate ultrasound images; document findings in reports.
• Maintain patient records and data; manage supplies and equipment as directed.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and select technical factors for each patient.

MedStar Health is looking for a Full-time MFM Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at the MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center!

Monday - Friday, Day Shift, with ability to travel to secondary office as needed

Primary Duties:

• Assistsphysician in such procedures as needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies. Scans patient, marks patient's body,determinesangle for puncture,assistsas necessary, andmaintainssterile technique.
• Generates computer images or film through automatic processing and evaluates quality.
• Communicates and documents patient's clinical information clearly and accurately in verbal and computerized report format. Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients.
• Secures and returns supplies such as film, linens, medicine, and patient folders.
• Selectionsdotoperatesequipment as directed. Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.2 years diagnostic or ultrasound experienceorgraduation from an accredited Ultrasound program (registry eligible) with certification in Diagnostic Sonography by AmericanRegistry forDiagnosticMedicalSonography (ARDMS)within 1 Year.
• OB/GYN registry and MFM experience preferred, will consider new graduates
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

This position has a hiring range of : USD $35.68 - USD $64.71 /Hr.
