Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform sonographic examinations with professional independence and diagnostic judgment, within department standards.

Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment, producing quality images, following radiation safety, maintaining patient records, and collaborating with the care team. ARDMS Physics licensure and BLS are required or obtained soon after hire; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS registered in Physics.
• Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED; Graduate of accredited ARDMS Program.

Responsibilities

• Operate all sonographic equipment according to equipment specifications.
• Produce quality sonograms consistently within department standards.
• Follow radiation safety practices and maintain patient records.
• Exhibits team participation and effective collaboration with staff.
• Assess patient according to exam ordered and document findings.
• Provide patient education and document in patient record.
• Utilize RIS and CPAC procedures according to department standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including stock rooms and training of new staff.
