Job summary

Responsibilities include equipment operation, image quality, radiation safety, and accurate documentation in the EMR. The role requires ARDMS Physics and ARDMS program graduation, with flexible shifts and teamwork across NGHS facilities.

Qualifications

• Applicant must have passed ARDMS Physics exam for registry.
• High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of accredited ARDMS Program.

Responsibilities

• Operate all sonographic equipment according to equipment specifications.
• Produce quality sonograms consistently within department protocols.
• Follow ALARA radiation safety practices according to state and federal guidelines.
• Maintain patient records according to department standards.
• Rotate and provide services at all facilities; participate in monthly call and daily coverage.
• Assess patient per exam order with appropriate documentation and history.
• Provide patient education and document in the EMR.
• Utilize RIS according to department standards.
