Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensure/certifications: ARDMS Physics exam for registry.
• Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; ARDMS program graduate.

Responsibilities

• Operate all sonographic equipment according to department standards.
• Produce quality sonograms within department protocols (ACR).
• Follow ALARA radiation safety practices when applicable.
• Maintain patient records per department standards.
• Rotate to provide services at all facilities as needed.
• Attend departmental meetings and participate in daily coverage.
• Assess patient per exam order with appropriate documentation (check orders, prior images, labs).
• Provide patient education related to the exam being performed.
