Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist to provide direct patient care in the Ultrasound department with at least 1 year of diagnostic ultrasound experience and ARDMS registration within a year. The role involves supporting interventional exams, data collection, and coordinating with radiologists, with travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as needed.

Requires graduation from an accredited Ultrasound or Radiologic Technology program; preferred Associate degree.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography or Radiological Technology program.
• ARDMS registration in one category within one year of hire date.
• Minimum one year of experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• Knowledge of Physics and Instrumentation for ARDMS exams.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers to produce optimum results.
• Preferred Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations appropriate to patient age in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Complete records, paperwork, and billing promptly.
• Position patients and assist physicians with interventional exams.
• QC images and send exams to PACS for radiologist review.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
• Follow hospital protocol and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled.
