Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced radiology department across Nashoba and Marlborough campuses. The role involves performing ultrasound examinations, data collection, and coordination with radiologists for interventional procedures.

The candidate must have graduated from an accredited Ultrasonography or Radiological Technology program and obtain ARDMS registration within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography or Radiological Technology program.
• ARDMS registration required within one year of hire date.
• Minimum one year of diagnostic ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound techniques and examinations per patient age group in patient care settings.
• Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Complete all records, paperwork, and billing promptly.
• Position and transfer patients and assist physicians with interventional exams.
• Send exams to PACS for radiologist review and assist with ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Follow Universal protocol per hospital policy and procedure.
• Maintain inventory and assist with purchasing supplies.
• Monitor equipment and ensure probes are properly sterilized.
• Assist with film processing, urgent requests, and scheduling.
• Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton to provide support as scheduled.
