Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams for inpatients and outpatients, following department protocols and ensuring patient safety. This role demands accurate data collection, timely records completion, and coordination with radiologists.

The position requires ARDMS eligibility within one year of hire, a minimum of one year of ultrasound experience, and flexibility to travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton campuses to support

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in diagnostic ultrasound under the direction of a qualified physician.
• Knowledge of Physics and Instrumentation for Ultrasound and ARDMS exams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound techniques and examinations per patient age and department standards.
• Gather clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Complete records, paperwork, and billing promptly; submit to PACS for radiologist review.
• Position and transfer patients; assist physicians with interventional exams.
