Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Sonography program.
• Registered through ARRT or ARDMS OR board eligible.
• ARDMS obtained within 18 months of hire (if applicable).
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine imaging, emergent and invasive procedures to detect pathology.
• Safely operate ultrasound equipment and maintain standards during procedures.
• Provide copies of imaging studies to physicians and records.
• Document in electronic charts upon completion of exams.
• Inspect equipment for proper orientation and coordinate service if needed.
• Coordinate scheduling and answer questions regarding patient information and informatics.
• Maintain adequate supplies in the work area and assist in room turnover.
• Orient new caregivers and participate in department meetings monthly.
