Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Virginia is looking for an enthusiastic Ultrasound Technologist to join their team. You will perform sonographic exams, maintain patient care, and analyze imaging quality. Preferred candidates will have 2-3 years of experience and ARDMS certification. Job Summary And Qualifications

Below is a summary of your key responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
• Performs all sonographic exams following defined protocols.
• Observes patients’ conditions and notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences. Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
• Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required.
• Understands and operates electronic information systems.

Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment.

• Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of sonography and meet educational requirements of ARDMS.
• Takes call after regular hours.

Registered or registry‑eligible by RDMS or ARRT.

Qualifications

• Experience: Preferred: 2‑3 years experience as a RT or sonographer. Preferred: 2 or more years of experience in a hospital ultrasound department.
• Education: Required: ARDMS eligible. Preferred: BLS certification. Required: ARDMS certification.
• Hours: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 8 a.m.–9 p.m.
