LewisGale Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, invites qualified CT Technicians to join our team in Salem, VA. The position involves performing CT procedures, adhering to ALARA radiation safety standards, and maintaining patient records.

We offer robust benefits and a sign-on/relocation bonus package. Ideal candidates have a radiologic technology background, ARRT registration, CT experience, and the ability to work night shifts.

• Required: Experience in Radiologic Technology.

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
• Performs all CT procedures, Able to learn and/or perform MRI Exams.
• Observant of patients’ conditions.
• Practices and enforces radiation safety as described in federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy.
• Adheres to hospital and regulatory policies and maintains accreditation.
• Operates electronic information systems and compiles appropriate records.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.

Performs all CT procedures, Able to learn and/or perform MRI Exams

Observant of patients’ conditions.

Practices and enforces radiation safety as described in federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy.

Adheres to all appropriate hospital and regulatory policies and assists in maintaining accreditation.

Understands and operates electronic information systems.

Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.

Administers contrast media as required.

Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of CT and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.

Maintains appropriate supplies.

Assures primary area is clean and organized. Assists in other areas of the department when not needed in primary area.
Performs clerical and transport duties as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE

Required: Experience in Radiologic Technology.

Preferred: One year dedicated CT experience.

EDUCATION

Required: Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Preferred: As above, with successful completion of formal computer courses.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

Required:
ARRT registered.
CT Registry within six months
BLS within 90 days of employment.

Hours: Full time, night shift (9pm-7:30am Monday-Thursday)
