Job summary

A healthcare provider in Salem, Virginia is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of experience and be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology school. Job Summary And Qualifications

As an MRI Technologist, you would perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures, by utilizing MRI equipment and your knowledge of anatomy/patient positioning for optimum imaging. You would explain the procedure to the patient and address any questions or concerns he or she may have.

Perform MRI examinations with proper contrast media protocols.

You will identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper film identification.

Evaluate quality of MRI procedure and determine if additional imaging is required, prior to communicating procedure information to radiologist.

Participate in on‑call duties as assigned to meet department needs.

Experience

Required: 6 months experience as Radiologic Technologist. Preferred: One year of experience as an MRI or CT technologist.

Education / Credentials

Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Required: ARRT registered. Preferred: As above with certification by the ARRT in MRI.

Hours

Full time, mixed shifts (Weekends rotate).
