Job summary

Eastside Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Tech in the Vascular Department to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures. You will operate ultrasound equipment, assess anatomy and pathology, and provide patient care across all ages while communicating effectively with staff and radiologists.

The role requires completion of an approved sonography program and ARDMS/ARRT registry eligibility, with BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Approved diagnostic medical sonography program or ARRT-approved program.
• ARDMS/ARRT registry eligible is required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) on hire is required.

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications:

Education

• an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT. Required or

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• ARDMS/ARRT(s) registry eligible Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• (BR) ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS)
