Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an Ultrasound Tech on a PRN basis to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and assist with routine invasive procedures. The role requires caring for diverse patient populations including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients while ensuring high-quality ultrasound imaging and accurate communication with radiology staff.

The candidate should be ARDMS registered within six months (vascular staff may need RVT/RVS/RT(S)/RT(VS)); ARRT BS registration for

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training or equivalent per IAC.
• Must become ARDMS registered within 6 months; vascular sonographers must obtain RVT/RVS/RT(S)/RT(VS) within 6 months; ARRT (BS) registration acceptable for breast ultrasound licensure.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Ultrasound Tech, PRN, Piedmont Columbus Midtown

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital based training program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None ? Must become registered by the ARDMS within (6) months of employment. Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment. Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• BLS certified.
• One (1) year of experience is preferred.
• Registered ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) is desired.
