Job description

Apply for the Ultrasound Tech, PRN position at Piedmont.

Responsibilities
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
  • Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and pathology.
  • Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an AMA‑approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT‑accredited hospital‑based training program, or equivalent experience according to IAC.
  • Must become registered with the ARDMS within 6 months of employment. Vascular Sonographers must also become registered and/or obtain RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within 6 months of employment. Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS).
  • BLS certified.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience; registered ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) is desirable.
