Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is looking for a qualified ultrasound technician for the Breast Center. The role involves operating ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic exams and providing patient services across all age groups.

The ideal candidate should be a graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and BLS certified. One year of experience is preferred. Must become registered by the ARDMS within six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent experience.
• BLS certified.
• Registered ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for diagnostic exams.

Overview:

Ultrasound PRN Breast Center

1 year of Breast experience preferred

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

None.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

None ? Must become registered by the ARDMS within (6) months of employment. Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment. Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

BLS certified.
One (1) year of experience is preferred.
Registered ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) is desired.
