Job summary

North Country Healthcare in New Hampshire seeks an Ultrasonographer to perform OB/GYN, abdominal, peripheral vascular, carotid Doppler and small parts studies under the direction of radiologists and the Imaging Services Cardiopulmonary Director. The role requires ARDMS certification (abdominal or OB/Gyn preferred), AMA-approved ultrasound education, and 1 year of ultrasound experience (3 years preferred).

Proficiency with PACS/RIS and Meditech is expected; strong patient interaction and teamwork

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of ultrasonography.
• Registered by the ARDMS in abdominal or OB/Gyn (both preferred).
• Experience with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric ultrasound is required.
• Minimum of one year of ultrasound experience; three years preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to work independently and adapt to hospital workflow.
• Familiarity with Meditech and general computer applications preferred.
• Willingness to learn software used at AVH.

Responsibilities

• Under physician direction, perform OB/GYN, abdominal, peripheral vascular, carotid doppler and small parts ultrasound studies.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images according to standards and protocols.
• Review orders, prep patients, and explain procedures.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; ensure calibration and safety.
