Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health seeks a skilled Sonographer to perform OB/GYN diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging. You will prepare exam rooms, review histories, and communicate preliminary findings to physicians with compassion.

AR DMS certified, NH licensure required, and ability to work independently in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential for delivering high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with ARDMS certification and NH licensure.
• Experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of sonographic equipment.
• Strong communication of results to physicians and compassionate patient support.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including emergent situations.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage distractions while delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OB/GYN diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
• Review patient history, evaluate images, and prepare preliminary findings for physicians.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients and ensure comfort and safety.
• Use proper positioning, equipment adjustments, and ergonomic scanning techniques.
• Document exam limitations and maintain accurate ultrasound records.
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment for daily use.
• Report equipment issues and support ongoing system integrations.
• Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and organizational policies.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.
